Some messages request a reply with recipient’s personal information outright. This is one sure way of spurring trouble. It is never a wise idea to dole out information in these emails. Also, beware of phishing scams wherein you receive emails that appear to have been distributed by a legitimate company. It is recommended that you log in to the company's actual website to look for details pertaining to the email before filling out any sort of information. Be sure to check the company’s privacy policy as well.
- 4. When you get any spam emails it is best to report them instead of outright deleting them. This will save the other users from being spammed from the same sender.
- 5. Also, if spam is a persistent problem in your online experience, you can use filters to segregate the emails that come to your account into legitimate and junk folders. This will prevent you from being harassed by the junk emails.
These steps, when followed, will ensure that you are able to deal with spam effectively.
